What's up my Beardos and Weirdos!
Please don't do these things, hahah. Today we're diving into r/Sh*tMomGroupsSay, and it's essentially Insane Parents and Insane People Facebook rolled into one, and... I don't know what to say. It's weird. It has been a long time since I've gone into it, but you all talked me into it, haha!
Happy 2020. Much love.

  • Hayo! I’ll start of by saying that your videos are very entertaining! you seem like a very great guy and I just wanted to come on here and defend my mother a bit, I will start with me not being vaccinated (oh yes, I am incredibly still alive) I am someone who agrees with vaccinations and I think that they are very good to have, but when I was a newborn I got vaccinated with something (I don’t remember the name) which I had a severe allergic reaction to, it got to the point where I almost died, and I have been incredibly sick all of my childhood, and I to this day still live with some of the side effects (nothing to dramatic) so since my parents had such a (probably) traumatic experience with their child almost dying (on multiple accounts) I kind of get why they wouldn’t want to vaccinate excessively. There is a bunch of propaganda and I don’t think that vaccines are bad, I was just unlucky:) (and sorry Im super tired so I hope that this won’t be to babbly or accusing, I just wanted to tell about my experience :)))

  • I think the reason you get this sort of reasoning that seems completely radical to us on Facebook is that Facebook is an echo chamber. If you post something, the only people to respond are those you know in real life, those who will either ignore it/be polite, or those who will agree with your thinking. And I don't think that's a healthy influence for anyone, to just have your opinions reaffirmed unconditionally.

    Avery WattsAvery WattsUukausi sitten
  • I'm pretty sure it's physically impossible for an UNBORN baby to laugh. First off the baby doesnt use its lungs to breath in the womb, it gets its oxygen through its bloodstream from the mother. Second you have to use your lungs and voice box to laugh. If there is no air in your lungs then there is no air to vibrate to make noise, which means NO LAUGHING

  • Fun fact: babies do sort of "laugh" from very early on in the womb. No sound yet, obvs, and clearly they won't understand jokes for a few years, but they have been observed to make movements we identify as smiling and scowling as they begin to stretch and explore their own facial muscles. There are videos of this online and I highly encouraged you to watch them, but I warn you that they are extremely cute!

  • I mean with the breastmilk brownies... yes it's weird but... why is it weirder than cow milk? I mean they both come out of mammals and, because of the conditions cows are kept in, cow milk is way more likely to contain things like puss and disease. If you think human breast milk is gross, you should also think other dairy milk is gross. Also I KINDA get the thought process behind the person who thought maybe breast milk could help covid patients. After all, women do pass certain things on through their breast milk (makes sense seeing as how it's a bodily fluid) and people who previously had covid do develop antibodies against it. It seems to me like a sold attempt to understand the science.

  • It is indeed weird to eat only eggs. Unless you're an egg-eating snake, in which case it's perfectly normal. Edit: As for the exploding honey, don't put ice on it. Applying ice to a burn can cause the tissue to necrotize. I'd recommend putting aloe vera, or - ironically - more honey (room temperature this time) as both of those have a soothing effect on burns

  • Tips for burns! (from a person who has had a major one across my entire lap): 1) Immediately run it under cool water, or if you can't, use wet paper towels. DO NOT, I repeat, do not, put ice on it or freezing water. That temperature extreme shift can shock your nerves and possibly cause them permanent damage. Run it under the water for a few minutes (more or less depending on how big/bad the burn is, but don't just do it for a couple seconds). If you can only use the paper towel method please continuously change out the paper towel when the water warms so as to keep the burn soothed. 2) If in pain, take ibuprofen/advil. 3) Examine the burn! Check to see if it's a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd degree burn. If it is 1st degree it will heal much faster since it means the burn only went through some layers of the skin but not many. If you have 2nd degree that means the burn went completely through the skin layers, leaving the muscle exposed and causing blisters to form. 3rd degree means it went even further past that and has most likely fried the nerve-endings in that area. 4)For 1st degree burns, depending on how big you can either ignore now or keep putting wet paper towels on. For 2nd degree it really depends on the size, small ones you can treat as you would 1st degree. Large areas of 2nd degree burns and any kind of 3rd degree burns require a hospital trip! The faster you get there the better. 5) Aftercare instructions after a hospital visit will be recommended by your doctor and you will most likely get some sheets explaining it. Aftercare tends to include, daily bandaging and applying a cream (usually silvadene). This post went on a while, I know. But burn care is very important. With 2nd and 3rd degree your body is more exposed to germs and open to infection so you have to be on top of it. Stay safe everyone! (not sure how many will see this haha)
